John Wayne Saddle

horse john wayne saddle If you want a saddle for someone special, check out the John Wayne commemorative saddle here.
To pay tribute to that spirit, Cricle Y saddles created the John Wayne "Courage" saddle- and what a fitting tribute it is! The saddle is modeled after one of John Wayne's own and features intricate hand-tooled floral designs, engraved brass rigging, sterling siver Mexican Peso conchos, and a inividually numbered collector's plate on the cantle back.

My father was Ray "Hoss" Martin. He made anything leather including saddles. At one time, he had one of John Waynes older working saddles that he obtained from Mr. Wayne somewhere in New Mex. in the 1950's. My father sold that saddle a few years before his death, to the owner of a steak house just outside of Fort Smith, Ark. If anyone has info. on that subject or "ANY" info on my father please E-Mail me. His friends and stranger knew him better then his own children I am finding out. He spent time in States California, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico. He lived and died on Wheeler in Fort Smith, Ark. God Bless you
