The Fine Line Between 'Entrepreneur' And 'Tax-Dodger'
Tracey Topping convinced the IRS that her horse expenses were deductible because of her work designing horse barns.
Topping, who had been competing in equestrian events since the age of 12, decided to parlay her strengths into a business designing horse barns and homes. Participating in horse shows gave her name recognition and access to “the exceptionally wealthy families who participate in the upper realms of the equestrian circuit.”

Free Range Beef (Organic, Of Course!)
From a trip report to an organic farm without horse barns.
I grew up in rural Ohio, so farms are nothing new to me. When people tell me about "Fresh Country Air" as if it were something sacred, all I can think of are the horse barns, and sheep pens of the county fair, which never ever smelled fresh to me. This farm, however, was vastly different than any I've ever been on. It didn't stink, for one thing. And another difference, as I said, was that there is no barn. The homestead sits at the top of a hill; the land was once a strip mine, and the views from the farm are amazing.

Texas Versailles
Eyeball the Crawford Palace at John Young's cryptome.org site. Missing from the pictures are horse barns, apparently unnecessary since this Texas cowboy can't get astraddle of a saddle and prefers ATVs to horses.
