Booster Feed Mill

horse store All the supplies you need for your horse, and some stallions, too.

Booster Feed Mill is everything a feed store is supposed to be: cramped, dusty, but neatly organized and well-kept, with a battle-scarred but neatly swept wooden floor; bins of bulk birdseed and alfalfa pellets arranged along one wall; crates of fresh eggs in a large refrigerator behind a bulk dog biscuit display in front of the counter; and a heavy front door covered in rabbit breeders’ business cards, homemade fliers touting sturdy-looking quarter horse stallions currently standing stud, photographs of fat, fuzzy Border collie and Australian shepherd pups, and handwritten index cards advertising everything from hay to honeybee removal services.

Breaking In A Bucking Bronco

horses bucking bronco Love this description of baby love.

After any trip however, there is a period of 'coming down' from the high of intense one-on-one social interaction along with little old ladies kissing baby toes. I would equivocate this to a heroin addict trying to kick his habit. This always makes the first day and a half back a bit of a challenge. If they made baby straight jackets, I would have been running off to Target to get one. It was like breaking in a wild, bucking, quarter horse. This kid really needed a fix. He needed to score some serious toe kissing, balloon pulling, constant motion, meet new people, feed me, hold me, get down on the floor with me time. And he was willing to sell his Fisher Price Cradle Swing for a bag of it.
